Last Updated: October 5, 2026

This Part II describes how Next Legal collects, uses, discloses, and protects Personal Information in connection with the Website, including when you contact us through the Website. It does not cover information we receive in the course of representing clients, which we handle in accordance with the applicable engagement letter and our professional obligations of confidentiality. Next Legal PLLC, 1200 Brickell Avenue, Suite 650, Miami, Florida 33131, is responsible for the Personal Information described in this Part II.

## Information We Collect

Personal Information means information that identifies, relates to, or is reasonably capable of being linked to a particular individual. It does not include de-identified or aggregate information.

We collect the following categories of Personal Information:

- **Information You Provide to Us:** When you submit a contact form, email us, subscribe to updates, or register for an event, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company, position, and the content of your message. Please do not include confidential information (see Part I, [“Do Not Send Confidential Information”](https://nextlegal.us/terms/#do-not-send-confidential-information)).
- **Website Assistant:** If you use the “Ask about NEXT Legal” assistant on the Website, it answers your questions from the content of the Website. When it cannot, it sends your question to a third-party artificial intelligence provider under terms that do not allow the provider to retain your question or use it to train its models. We do not store the questions you type. Please do not include confidential information (see Part I, [“Do Not Send Confidential Information”](https://nextlegal.us/terms/#do-not-send-confidential-information)).
- **Information Collected Automatically:** When you visit the Website, we and our analytics provider automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. See [“Cookies and Analytics”](https://nextlegal.us/privacy/#cookies-and-analytics) below.
- **Approximate Location:** We may infer your approximate location, such as your country or city, from your IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation information.
- **Information from Others:** If someone refers you to us, or contacts us about a matter that involves you, that person may give us your name, contact details, and information about the matter.
- **Sensitive Information:** We do not ask for, and we ask that you not submit through the Website, government identification numbers, financial account information, health information, or other sensitive personal information.

## How We Use Information

If we wish to use Personal Information for a purpose that is materially different from those described below, we will notify you and, where required by law, obtain your consent before doing so.

- **Responding to You:** To respond to your inquiries, evaluate potential engagements, perform conflict checks, and communicate with you.
- **Security:** To protect the security and integrity of the Website and our systems, and to detect and prevent fraud and other unlawful activity.
- **Meeting Legal Requirements:** To comply with applicable laws, regulations, rules of professional conduct, and legal process, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- **Communications:** To send you legal updates, newsletters, and event invitations that you have requested or, where permitted by law, that we believe may interest you. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
- **Website Analytics:** To understand how visitors use the Website and to improve its content and performance.
- **Business Transfers:** If Next Legal is involved in a merger, combination, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of its practice, Personal Information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and rules of professional conduct.

In addition to the purposes listed above, Next Legal may also use de-identified or aggregate data that is not capable of being linked to any individual consumer for additional purposes not listed above.

## How We Share Information

We do not sell Personal Information, and we do not share Personal Information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share Personal Information as follows:

- **Service Providers:** We share information with vendors that help us operate the Website and our firm, such as website hosting, email, and analytics providers. These vendors are not authorized to use the information we share with them for any purpose other than providing services to Next Legal.
- **Professional Advisers:** We may share information with our insurers, auditors, accountants, and legal advisers as needed for their services to us.
- **Required by Law:** We may disclose information as required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, a lawful request by a public authority, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a legal request.
- **Business Transfers:** We may disclose information to a successor firm or other party in connection with a transaction described above under “Business Transfers.”
- **With Your Consent:** We may share information with others when you direct us to or consent to it.

In addition to the circumstances listed above, Next Legal may also share de-identified or aggregate data that is not capable of being linked to any individual consumer with additional entities not listed above.

## Cookies and Analytics

**Cookies.** The Website uses cookies and similar technologies, which are small files stored on your device. We use them to operate the Website and, through Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Website. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you visit, the time you spend on the Website, the site that referred you, and your approximate location, and provides us with aggregated reports. Google processes this information under its own terms and privacy policy, which you can review at [policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at [tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The Website should continue to function if you do. Where required by law, including for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we use analytics and other non-essential cookies only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through the cookie banner on the Website.

**Do Not Track.** Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, the Website does not currently respond to them.

## Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to request a copy of your Personal Information in a portable format; and to withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law. We may need to retain certain information where required by law or by our professional obligations, including records we need to maintain for conflict-check purposes.

To submit a request about your Personal Information, email us at [info@nextlegal.us](mailto:info@nextlegal.us). After you submit a request, we will ask you to verify your identity before responding. Where permitted by law, you may submit a request through an authorized agent.

**Data Retention.** We retain Personal Information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Part II, including to respond to you and to maintain conflict-check records, and as necessary to comply with our legal and professional obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

## International Visitors

Next Legal is based in the United States, and the Website is hosted in the United States. If you access the Website from outside the United States, including from Latin America, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, your Personal Information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

## Additional Information for Visitors in the EEA and the UK

If the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing of your Personal Information, Next Legal is the controller of that information. We process it on the following legal bases: to take steps at your request before entering into an engagement with you (for example, responding to your inquiry); our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Website, communicating with prospective clients, and conducting conflict checks; compliance with our legal obligations; and your consent, where we rely on it (for example, for analytics cookies and certain marketing emails). You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.

## Additional Information for Visitors in Latin America

If the data protection laws of your country apply to our processing of your Personal Information, such as Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais), you may have additional rights under those laws, and you may exercise them by contacting us as described below.

## Children

The Website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 16. If you believe that a child has provided Personal Information to us through the Website, please contact us and we will delete it.

## How We Protect Personal Information

**Our Commitment to Data Security.** The security of your Personal Information is important to us. We take a number of organizational, technical, and physical measures designed to protect the Personal Information we collect, both during transmission and once we receive it. Unfortunately, no data transmission is completely secure, and we therefore cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to or from the Website. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXT LEGAL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE THEFT, LOSS, OR INTERCEPTION OF, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, INFORMATION YOU TRANSMIT TO OR FROM THE WEBSITE THAT RESULTS FROM CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL.

If you believe that your Personal Information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at [info@nextlegal.us](mailto:info@nextlegal.us).
